{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-17b-2a-803","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 17B-2a-803","heading":"Provisions applicable to public transit districts.","body":"(1)\n(a) Each public transit district is governed by and has the powers stated in:\n(i) this part; and\n(ii) except as provided in Subsection (1)(b), Chapter 1, Provisions Applicable to All Special Districts.\n(b)\n(i) Except for Sections 17B-1-301, 17B-1-311, and 17B-1-313, the following provisions do not apply to public transit districts:\n(A) Chapter 1, Part 3, Board of Trustees; and\n(B) Section 17B-2a-905.\n(ii) A public transit district is not subject to Chapter 1, Part 6, Fiscal Procedures for Special Districts.\n(2) This part applies only to public transit districts.\n(3) A public transit district is not subject to the provisions of any other part of this chapter.\n(4) If there is a conflict between a provision in Chapter 1, Provisions Applicable to All Special Districts, and a provision in this part, the provision in this part governs.\n(5) The provisions of Subsection 53-3-202(3)(b) do not apply to a motor vehicle owned in whole or in part by a public transit district.","path":["Title 17B Limited Purpose Local Government Entities - Special Districts","Chapter 17B-2a Provisions Applicable to Different Types of Special Districts","Part 17B-2a-8 Public Transit District Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title17B/Chapter2a/17B-2a-S803.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"a6a626a438a6f7059873c2997402c26eb7228f3d91198f011714782f0d934f41","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-17b-2a-802","next":"us-ut/utah-code-17b-2a-804"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
