{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-17c-1-102.5","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 17C-1-102.5","heading":"Project area created on or after May 10, 2016.","body":"Beginning on May 10, 2016, an agency:\n(1) may create a community reinvestment project area under Chapter 5, Community Reinvestment;\n(2) except as provided in Subsection (3), may not create:\n(a) an urban renewal project area under Chapter 2, Urban Renewal;\n(b) an economic development project area under Chapter 3, Economic Development; or\n(c) a community development project area under Chapter 4, Community Development; and\n(3) may create an urban renewal project area, an economic development project area, or a community development project area if:\n(a) before April 1, 2016, the agency adopts a resolution in accordance with:\n(i) Section 17C-2-101.5 for an urban renewal project area;\n(ii) Section 17C-3-101.5 for an economic development project area; or\n(iii) Section 17C-4-101.5 for a community development project area; and\n(b) the urban renewal project area, economic development project area, or community development project area is effective before September 1, 2016.","path":["Title 17C Limited Purpose Local Government Entities - Community Reinvestment Agency Act","Chapter 17C-1 Agency Operations","Part 17C-1-1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title17C/Chapter1/17C-1-S102.5.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"29a50cf97d03b744c0d2eb1873d55c853cdf1d3c454d4b4bf13f2ff819c525bd","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-17c-1-102","next":"us-ut/utah-code-17c-1-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
