{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-17c-1-203","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 17C-1-203","heading":"Agency board -- Quorum.","body":"(1) The governing body of an agency is a board consisting of the current members of the community legislative body.\n(2) A majority of board members constitutes a quorum for the transaction of agency business.\n(3) A board may not adopt a resolution, pass a motion, or take any other official board action without the concurrence of at least a majority of the board members present at a meeting at which a quorum is present.\n(4)\n(a) The mayor or the mayor's designee of a municipality operating under a council-mayor form of government, as defined in Section 10-3b-102:\n(i) serves as the executive director of an agency created by the municipality; and\n(ii) exercises the agency's executive powers.\n(b) The county executive or the county executive's designee of a county operating under a county executive-council form of government, as described in Section 17-62-203:\n(i) serves as the executive director of an agency created by the county; and\n(ii) exercises the agency's executive powers.","path":["Title 17C Limited Purpose Local Government Entities - Community Reinvestment Agency Act","Chapter 17C-1 Agency Operations","Part 17C-1-2 Agency Creation, Powers, and Board"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title17C/Chapter1/17C-1-S203.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"b27231cd73ba345c685469cf02b7498c0a22e15c50ea4473a526f931c9132cf8","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-17c-1-202","next":"us-ut/utah-code-17c-1-204"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
