{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-17c-6-301","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 17C-6-301","heading":"Private-public partnerships for a zone.","body":"(1) A person that seeks to enter into a private-public partnership with an agency shall provide the agency with an application that:\n(a) demonstrates the applicant is qualified to operate, in whole or in part, a project within the zone; and\n(b) provides any additional information required by the creating entity or agency.\n(2) An agency may enter into a private-public partnership:\n(a) if, after reviewing the application described in Subsection (1), the agency determines a private-public partnership will promote the objectives of the zone; and\n(b) through an agreement described in this section.\n(3) An agreement to create a private-public partnership between a person and an agency may:\n(a) establish or recognize an ownership interest in the project for the person, in consideration of the person's financial investment in the project;\n(b) establish an ownership interest in the project for the agency or agency's creating entity, in consideration of the public's financial investment in the project; or\n(c) create a lease between the person and the agency.","path":["Title 17C Limited Purpose Local Government Entities - Community Reinvestment Agency Act","Chapter 17C-6 Regionally Significant Development Zones Act","Part 17C-6-3 Partnership Agreements"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title17C/Chapter6/17C-6-S301.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"ed35771bb996e0ccde01a14e60853fb219dda8a478e8bc7c1d9e77fa451e66c9","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-17c-6-203","next":"us-ut/utah-code-17c-6-401"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
