{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-17d-2-506","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 17D-2-506","heading":"Other entities not responsible for local building authority bonds or breach of mortgage and other obligations.","body":"(1) Nothing in this part may be construed to require:\n(a) the state or any political subdivision of the state to pay a bond issued under this part;\n(b) the state or, except the creating local entity, any political subdivision of the state to pay any rent or lease payment due to a local building authority under the terms of a lease agreement; or\n(c) the creating local entity to appropriate money to pay:\n(i) principal of or interest on bonds issued by a local building authority; or\n(ii) the lease payments under a lease agreement with the local building authority.\n(2) A breach of a mortgage or a covenant or agreement in a mortgage may not impose a general obligation or liability upon or a charge against:\n(a) the creating local entity; or\n(b) the general credit or taxing power of the state or any political subdivision of the state.","path":["Title 17D Limited Purpose Local Government Entities - Other Entities","Chapter 17D-2 Local Building Authority Act","Part 17D-2-5 Local Building Authority Bonds"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title17D/Chapter2/17D-2-S506.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"ed801ef463b4741b57f6fada59957c31bffdcbe598de75489ab4bd17d8d65d4c","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-17d-2-505","next":"us-ut/utah-code-17d-2-507"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
