{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-17d-2-701","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 17D-2-701","heading":"Local entity governing body may dissolve local building authority -- Limitation.","body":"(1) Subject to Subsection (2), the governing body of the creating local entity may at any time dissolve a local building authority created by the creating local entity, by following the procedures in Title 16, Chapter 6a, Utah Revised Nonprofit Corporation Act, for the dissolution of a nonprofit corporation.\n(2) A creating local entity's governing body may not dissolve a local building authority unless:\n(a)\n(i) the principal, interest, and any redemption premium on all outstanding bonds of the local building authority are paid in full; and\n(ii) all other obligations of the local building authority are paid in full; or\n(b) the local building authority has made provision for the payment, when due, of all bond and other obligations described in Subsection (2)(a).","path":["Title 17D Limited Purpose Local Government Entities - Other Entities","Chapter 17D-2 Local Building Authority Act","Part 17D-2-7 Dissolution of Local Building Authority"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title17D/Chapter2/17D-2-S701.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"f87705b1b64788550ee7b0b8d29d7968cbcb3885b00aeeb6ee2f5b16be66129c","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-17d-2-602","next":"us-ut/utah-code-17d-2-702"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
