{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-17d-3-105","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 17D-3-105","heading":"Conservation districts subject to other provisions.","body":"(1) Subject to Subsection (3), a conservation district is, to the same extent as if it were a special district, subject to and governed by:\n(a) Sections 17B-1-105, 17B-1-107, 17B-1-108, 17B-1-110, 17B-1-113, 17B-1-116, 17B-1-121, 17B-1-307, 17B-1-311, 17B-1-313, and 17B-1-314;\n(b) Title 17B, Chapter 1, Part 6, Fiscal Procedures for Special Districts;\n(c) Title 17B, Chapter 1, Part 7, Special District Budgets and Audit Reports;\n(d) Title 17B, Chapter 1, Part 8, Special District Personnel Management; and\n(e) Title 17B, Chapter 1, Part 9, Collection of Service Fees and Charges.\n(2) For purposes of applying the provisions listed in Subsection (1) to a conservation district, each reference in those provisions to the special district board of trustees means the board of supervisors described in Section 17D-3-301.\n(3) A conservation district may not exercise taxing authority.","path":["Title 17D Limited Purpose Local Government Entities - Other Entities","Chapter 17D-3 Conservation District Act","Part 17D-3-1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title17D/Chapter3/17D-3-S105.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"cf91fe7ebaa576a21436c1322a6cd03a75719d350a0c2e5050424d8a57e68ef1","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-17d-3-103","next":"us-ut/utah-code-17d-3-106"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
