{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-17d-3-304","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 17D-3-304","heading":"Petition to nominate candidates for appointment to the board of supervisors.","body":"(1) In addition to the procedure in Section 17D-3-302, a person may be nominated to be a candidate for appointment as a member of a board of supervisors of a conservation district by a petition filed with the department no later than the date set by the commission as the close of nominations.\n(2) A petition under Subsection (1) shall:\n(a) state:\n(i) the candidate's name;\n(ii) that the candidate is at least 18 years old; and\n(iii) that the candidate for appointment is a resident of the conservation district for which the nomination for candidacy is to be held; and\n(b) contain the notarized signature of the candidate.\n(3) The department shall forward a petition received under this section to the nominating committee for consideration under Sections 17D-3-302 and 17D-3-303.","path":["Title 17D Limited Purpose Local Government Entities - Other Entities","Chapter 17D-3 Conservation District Act","Part 17D-3-3 Conservation District Board of Supervisors"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title17D/Chapter3/17D-3-S304.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"92e6a59380a3a3db3cb6d2ba2afcad4c725fa07691a7f7e249a6015c50786b3e","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-17d-3-303","next":"us-ut/utah-code-17d-3-305"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
