{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-19-1-503","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 19-1-503","heading":"Requirements for engine coolant sold in state.","body":"On or after January 1, 2011, a person may not sell engine coolant to a person in this state that is manufactured on or after January 1, 2011, if the engine coolant:\n(1) contains more than 10% ethylene glycol; and\n(2) does not contain:\n(a) denatonium benzoate within the following amounts:\n(i) a minimum of 30 parts per million; and\n(ii) a maximum of 50 parts per million; or\n(b) a similar bittering agent that renders the engine coolant unpalatable if it meets or exceeds the degree of aversion as compared to denatonium benzoate at a concentration of 30 parts per million.","path":["Title 19 Environmental Quality Code","Chapter 19-1 General Provisions","Part 19-1-5 Engine Coolant Bittering Agent Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title19/Chapter1/19-1-S503.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"8258cf75ae1e8452b0efd43f8100a133ad90b696a3eb20ca10c9ef2c567ab81e","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-19-1-502","next":"us-ut/utah-code-19-1-504"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
