{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-19-14-102","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 19-14-102","heading":"Nuclear Energy Regulatory Office -- Creation -- Duties -- Staffing.","body":"(1) There is created within the division the Nuclear Energy Regulatory Office.\n(2) The office shall:\n(a) coordinate state activities related to nuclear energy regulation;\n(b) serve as the primary liaison between the state and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission regarding:\n(i) licensing of nuclear fuel cycle activities; and\n(ii) the state's Agreement State status on all levels of the nuclear fuel cycle;\n(c) oversee the division's regulation of nuclear fuel cycle activities within state jurisdiction, as authorized by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission;\n(d) administer licensing and permitting programs for nuclear fuel cycle activities established under Section 19-14-103;\n(e) conduct compliance inspections and enforcement activities related to nuclear fuel cycle activities; and\n(f) provide technical assistance and guidance to applicants and licensees regarding nuclear energy regulation.\n(3) The division may employ staff necessary to carry out the duties of the office.","path":["Title 19 Environmental Quality Code","Chapter 19-14 Nuclear Energy Regulation Act","Part 19-14-1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title19/Chapter14/19-14-S102.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"610eb198cf35bcc590b6dd89782eb88c89ac8ec20ad272cb4fe50795dc557048","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-19-14-101","next":"us-ut/utah-code-19-14-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
