{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-19-15-101","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 19-15-101","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this chapter:\n(1) \"Applicant\" means an individual or entity that applies for a pipeline or other permit as described in this chapter.\n(2)\n(a) \"Midstream facility\" means a facility, structure, or infrastructure used for the gathering, processing, treatment, storage, or transportation of petroleum products between the point of extraction or production and the point of distribution or end use, including:\n(i) pipelines;\n(ii) storage tanks;\n(iii) processing plants;\n(iv) compression stations;\n(v) pumping stations; and\n(vi) related equipment and infrastructure necessary for the operation of the facility.\n(b) \"Midstream facility\" does not include:\n(i) a gathering line, flowline, or associated surface equipment subject to the regulation of the Board of Oil, Gas, and Mining; or\n(ii) an underground storage facility, including salt caverns and associated injection wells, regulated by the Board of Oil, Gas, and Mining under Title 40, Mines and Mining.","path":["Title 19 Environmental Quality Code","Chapter 19-15 Midstream Facility Permitting","Part 19-15-1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title19/Chapter15/19-15-S101.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"7bbe81bd3cd4eab35426d77cace1d5f4fc1a22371e8aa9a8a4ff133f3f35c926","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-19-14-104","next":"us-ut/utah-code-19-15-201"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
