{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-19-2-203","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 19-2-203","heading":"Grants and programs -- Conditions.","body":"(1) The director may make grants for implementing:\n(a) verified technologies for eligible vehicles or equipment; and\n(b) certified vehicles, engines, or equipment.\n(2)\n(a) The division may develop programs, including exchange, rebate, or low-cost purchase programs, to encourage replacement of:\n(i) landscaping and maintenance equipment with equipment that is lower in emissions; and\n(ii) other equipment or products identified by the board in rule as being a significant potential source of air pollution, as defined in Subsection 19-2-102(3).\n(b) The division may enter into agreements with local health departments to administer the programs described in Subsection (2)(a).\n(3) As a condition for receiving the grant, a person receiving a grant under Subsection (1) or receiving a grant under this Subsection (3) shall agree to:\n(a) provide information to the division about the vehicles, equipment, or technology acquired with the grant proceeds;\n(b) allow inspections by the division to ensure compliance with the terms of the grant;\n(c) permanently disable replaced vehicles, engines, and equipment from use; and\n(d) comply with the conditions for the grant.\n(4) Grants and programs under Subsections (1) and (2) may be administered using a rebate program.\n(5) Grants issued under this section may not exceed the actual cost of the project.","path":["Title 19 Environmental Quality Code","Chapter 19-2 Air Conservation Act","Part 19-2-2 Clean Air Retrofit, Replacement, and Off-road Technology Program"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title19/Chapter2/19-2-S203.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"f3dff447aa5bcd06a114d4fbb46a8bfdd05d7e7d022d22f556d0f1749cabf414","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-19-2-202","next":"us-ut/utah-code-19-2-204"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
