{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-19-3-110","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 19-3-110","heading":"Criminal penalties.","body":"(1) Any person who knowingly violates any provision of Sections 19-3-104 through 19-3-113 or lawful orders or rules adopted by the department under those sections shall in a criminal proceeding:\n(a) for the first violation, be guilty of a class B misdemeanor; and\n(b) for a subsequent similar violation within two years, be guilty of a third degree felony.\n(2) In addition, a person is liable for any expense incurred by the department in removing or abating any violation.\n(3) Conviction under Sections 19-3-104 through 19-3-113 does not relieve the person convicted from civil liability for any act which was also a violation of the public health laws.","path":["Title 19 Environmental Quality Code","Chapter 19-3 Radiation Control Act","Part 19-3-1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title19/Chapter3/19-3-S110.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"02bd22a206cef45681117091a725b7388787d69de3a866ace12b711ff4807ce1","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-19-3-109","next":"us-ut/utah-code-19-3-111"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
