{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-19-5-125","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 19-5-125","heading":"Yurt exemption.","body":"(1) As used in this section:\n(a) \"Backcountry waste containment and disposal system\" means a pickle pail, rocket box, tube toilet, John-E partner, or similar container used to collect and carry out waste, including fecal matter.\n(b) \"Remote yurt\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 15A-1-202.\n(2) Unless otherwise provided by ordinance in accordance with Subsection 15A-1-204(12)(b), a remote yurt is exempt from this chapter, rules made under this chapter, and local health department's jurisdiction over onsite wastewater disposal, except that the owner of a remote yurt shall ensure that an individual using the remote yurt uses a backcountry waste containment and disposal system and the local health department may enforce the provisions of this section.","path":["Title 19 Environmental Quality Code","Chapter 19-5 Water Quality Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title19/Chapter5/19-5-S125.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"0700c00f75d7688b63372906c061175fe92ddaa0e4b847ba2c4c423aa35593a6","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-19-5-124","next":"us-ut/utah-code-19-5-126"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
