{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-19-6-1303","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 19-6-1303","heading":"Solar Panel Waste Restricted Account -- Sources of funding -- Fund purpose.","body":"(1) There is created in the General Fund a restricted account known as the Solar Panel Waste Restricted Account.\n(2) The sources of money for the account include:\n(a) appropriations from the Legislature;\n(b) revenue from a fee described in Section 19-6-1304;\n(c) revenue from the recycling study assessment described in Section 79-6-1402.5;\n(d) a penalty or fine imposed under this part;\n(e) a voluntary contribution received for the cleanup or disposal of solar panel waste; and\n(f) interest earned on money in the account.\n(3) Subject to appropriation, the director may expend money from the account to:\n(a) assist or promote a program for:\n(i) recycling solar panel waste;\n(ii) safely disposing of solar panel waste; or\n(iii) providing a hazardous waste analysis of a solar panel consistent with Section 19-6-1305;\n(b) pay the division's administrative costs in enforcing this part; and\n(c) reimburse the division for the costs of conducting the study on solar panel recycling described in Section 19-6-1309.","path":["Title 19 Environmental Quality Code","Chapter 19-6 Hazardous Substances","Part 19-6-13 Testing And Disposal Of Solar Panel Waste"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title19/Chapter6/19-6-S1303.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"0afe56f8ddcfdbdd49b5858a7456b2614a2d45ba76cc117c7a7cd100e41f8909","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-19-6-1302","next":"us-ut/utah-code-19-6-1304"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
