{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-19-6-717","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 19-6-717","heading":"Used oil collection incentive payment.","body":"(1)\n(a) The division shall pay a recycling incentive to registered DIYer used oil collection centers and curbside collection programs approved by the director for each gallon of used oil:\n(i) collected from DIYer used oil generators; and\n(ii) transported by a permitted used oil transporter to a permitted used oil processor, rerefiner, burner, or to another disposal method authorized by board rule.\n(b) Payment of the incentive is subject to Section 19-6-720 regarding priorities.\n(2) The board shall by rule establish the amount of the payment, which shall be 16 cents per gallon unless the board determines the incentive should be:\n(a) reduced to ensure adequate funds to meet priorities set in Section 19-6-720 and to reimburse all qualified operations under this section; or\n(b) increased to promote collection of used oil under this part and the funds are available in the account created under Section 19-6-719 after meeting the priorities set in Section 19-6-720.","path":["Title 19 Environmental Quality Code","Chapter 19-6 Hazardous Substances","Part 19-6-7 Used Oil Management Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title19/Chapter6/19-6-S717.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"ce96cf92fa26e4f3ffbcb35bd9da455dc2fbf78f1def3e486708288f453895c6","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-19-6-716","next":"us-ut/utah-code-19-6-718"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
