{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-20a-1-201.5","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 20A-1-201.5","heading":"Primary election dates.","body":"(1) The regular primary election shall be held throughout the state on the fourth Tuesday of June of each even numbered year as provided in Section 20A-9-403, 20A-9-407, or 20A-9-408, as applicable, to nominate persons for national, state, school board, and county offices.\n(2) A municipal primary election shall be held, if necessary, on the second Tuesday following the first Monday in August before the regular municipal election to nominate persons for:\n(a) municipal offices; or\n(b) local school board office for a new school district or a reorganized new school district under Section 53G-3-302.\n(3) A presidential primary election shall be held throughout the state on the first Tuesday in March in the year in which a presidential election will be held.","path":["Title 20A Election Code","Chapter 20A-1 General Provisions","Part 20A-1-2 Elections: General and Special"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title20A/Chapter1/20A-1-S201.5.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"ceb2e053e9bce95e2efe1a7476980794cebd368f3911b729f8dfaaa2f6454bcd","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-20a-1-201","next":"us-ut/utah-code-20a-1-202"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
