{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-20a-2-507","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 20A-2-507","heading":"Rulemaking authority relating to voter registration records.","body":"The director of elections within the Office of the Lieutenant Governor shall make rules, in accordance with Title 63G, Chapter 3, Utah Administrative Rulemaking Act:\n(1) to regulate the use, security, maintenance, data entry, and update of the system;\n(2) establishing duties and deadlines for a county clerk to:\n(a) ensure that the database is updated, accurate, and secure; and\n(b) regularly report to the lieutenant governor the information described in Subsection 20A-2-502(4); and\n(3) establishing requirements for a county clerk in relation to:\n(a) running the utilities and tools in the system;\n(b) actions that the county clerk is required to take in response to the matters identified, or the results produced, from running the utilities and tools; and\n(c) documenting and reporting compliance with the requirements of this part and rules made under this section.","path":["Title 20A Election Code","Chapter 20A-2 Voter Registration","Part 20A-2-5 Voter Registration System and Process"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title20A/Chapter2/20A-2-S507.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"ee8239953a297e86fd70cc831ba9941b36a734fb2c9535fdb4b0cf95e7c8a4ce","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-20a-2-506","next":"us-ut/utah-code-20a-2-508"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
