{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-20a-3a-702","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 20A-3a-702","heading":"Election day voting center -- Hours of operation -- Compliance with Election Code.","body":"(1) Except as provided in Section 20A-7-609.5, an election officer may operate an election day voting center in one or more locations designated under Section 20A-3a-703.\n(2) An election officer shall provide for voting at an election day voting center by:\n(a) regular ballot if:\n(i)\n(A) the election day voting center is designated under Section 20A-5-403 as the polling place for the voting precinct in which the voter resides; and\n(B) the voter is eligible to vote a regular ballot at the election day voting center in accordance with this title; or\n(ii)\n(A) the voter resides within the political subdivision holding the election;\n(B) the voter is otherwise eligible to vote a regular ballot in accordance with this title; and\n(C) the jurisdiction holding the election uses a method that confirms that the voter has not voted previously in the election;\n(b) voting center ballot if:\n(i) the election day voting center is not designated under Section 20A-5-403 as the polling place for the voting precinct in which the voter resides;\n(ii) the voter resides within the political subdivision holding the election; and\n(iii) the voter is otherwise eligible to vote a regular ballot in accordance with this title; or\n(c) provisional ballot if the voter is only eligible to vote using a provisional ballot in accordance with this title.\n(3) An election officer shall ensure that an election day voting center:\n(a) is open on election day during the time period specified under Section 20A-1-302;\n(b) allows an eligible voter to vote if the voter:\n(i) resides within the political subdivision holding an election; and\n(ii) arrives at the election day voting center by the designated closing time in accordance with Section 20A-1-302; and\n(c) is administered according to the requirements of this title.\n(4) An individual may submit a completed manual ballot at an election day voting center for the political subdivision in which the individual resides.","path":["Title 20A Election Code","Chapter 20A-3a Voting","Part 20A-3a-7 Election Day Voting Center"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title20A/Chapter3a/20A-3a-S702.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"347ebf325f352f846231023b7b0c9266ddfc5eb64b968ef22d09b4758d75abb0","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-20a-3a-701","next":"us-ut/utah-code-20a-3a-703"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
