{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-20a-5a-308","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 20A-5a-308","heading":"Certification of municipal candidates for municipal general election -- Ballot propositions.","body":"(1) The election officer of a municipality shall provide the notice described in Subsection (2) on or before the later of:\n(a) the last business day in August of an odd-numbered year; or\n(b) in the case of a recount in a primary election race for the municipality, two business days after the day on which the recount results are certified.\n(2) The election officer of a municipality shall provide the notice required under Subsection (1) by:\n(a) sending to each county clerk in which all or part of the municipality is located:\n(i) a list of names of all candidates who are qualified for placement on the municipal general election ballot, by office, for each municipal office; and\n(ii) information on local ballot propositions that have qualified for placement on the ballot; and\n(b) publishing for the municipality, as a class A notice under Section 63G-30-102, for 30 calendar days, the list described in Subsection (2)(a).","path":["Title 20A Election Code","Chapter 20A-5a Election Notices","Part 20A-5a-3 Notices For Municipal Election Year"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title20A/Chapter5a/20A-5a-S308.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"e5016f85a1c9bf3e6013d4a65576ebbaab0af9a9f26db137210d21303121084a","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-20a-5a-307","next":"us-ut/utah-code-20a-5a-309"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
