{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-20a-5a-311","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 20A-5a-311","heading":"Notice of cancellation of special district election for odd-numbered year.","body":"(1) A special district board that cancels an election in an odd-numbered year under Section 20A-1-206 shall provide notice that the election is canceled by complying with Subsection (2):\n(a) no earlier than the day after the deadline, described in Subsection 20A-9-601(1)(a), for a write-in candidate to file a declaration of candidacy for the municipal general election; and\n(b) no later than 32 calendar days before the day of the municipal general election.\n(2) A special district board described in Subsection (1) shall provide notice that the election is canceled by:\n(a) sending notice to each county where all or a portion of the special district is located;\n(b) sending the notice to the lieutenant governor's office to be posted on the Statewide Electronic Voter Information Website described in Section 20A-7-801, for at least 15 calendar days before the day of the municipal general election; and\n(c) publishing notice for the special district, as a class A notice under Section 63G-30-102, for at least 15 calendar days before the day of the municipal general election.","path":["Title 20A Election Code","Chapter 20A-5a Election Notices","Part 20A-5a-3 Notices For Municipal Election Year"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title20A/Chapter5a/20A-5a-S311.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"53ae75fea8cbef3415f0a1d143251dff98abf343021d7588f989a46c5b8cd3f9","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-20a-5a-310","next":"us-ut/utah-code-20a-5a-312"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
