{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-23a-10-301","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 23A-10-301","heading":"Division's power to prevent invasive species infestation.","body":"To eradicate and prevent the infestation of an invasive mussel, the division may:\n(1)\n(a) establish inspection stations located at or along:\n(i) a highway, as defined in Section 72-1-102;\n(ii) a port of entry, if the Department of Transportation authorizes the division to use the port of entry; and\n(iii) a publicly accessible:\n(A) boat ramp; or\n(B) conveyance launch site; and\n(b) temporarily stop, detain, and inspect a conveyance or equipment that:\n(i) the division reasonably believes is in violation of Section 23A-10-201;\n(ii) the division reasonably believes is in violation of Section 23A-10-305;\n(iii) is stopped at an inspection station; or\n(iv) is stopped at an administrative checkpoint;\n(2) conduct an administrative checkpoint in accordance with Section 77-23-104;\n(3) detain and quarantine a conveyance or equipment as provided in Section 23A-10-302;\n(4) order a person to decontaminate a conveyance or equipment; and\n(5) in coordination with the Division of Wildlife Resources that conducts biological sampling, inspect the following that may contain an invasive mussel:\n(a) a water body;\n(b) a facility; and\n(c) a water supply system.","path":["Title 23A Wildlife Resources Act","Chapter 23A-10 Aquatic Invasive Species Interdiction","Part 23A-10-3 Enforcement"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title23A/Chapter10/23A-10-S301.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"41240c1ab75e16d7c6c291d78247f928487a7607b755263aa01e776901624a2a","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-23a-10-202","next":"us-ut/utah-code-23a-10-302"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
