{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-23a-4-204","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 23A-4-204","heading":"Alien's and nonresident peace officer's ability to obtain licenses and certificates.","body":"(1) An alien resident of Utah may purchase a hunting, fishing, trapping, seining, and fur dealer license or certificate of registration upon the same terms as a resident citizen.\n(2) A nonresident alien may purchase a hunting, fishing, trapping, seining, or fur dealer license or certificate of registration upon the same terms as nonresident citizens.\n(3) Notwithstanding Subsection 23A-4-1101(1)(b), a nonresident may purchase a hunting, fishing, trapping, seining, and fur dealer license or certificate of registration upon the same terms as a resident citizen if the person is:\n(a) employed by the state as a peace officer, as classified by Title 53, Chapter 13, Peace Officer Classifications; and\n(b) required to live outside the state as a condition of the person's employment.","path":["Title 23A Wildlife Resources Act","Chapter 23A-4 Licenses, Permits, Certificates of Registration, and Tags","Part 23A-4-2 Basic Requirements"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title23A/Chapter4/23A-4-S204.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"ed5f538b84e131c63f482ed01af1b0ec8acb93f82deb2320a2b69fa44db966e6","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-23a-4-203","next":"us-ut/utah-code-23a-4-205"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
