{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-23a-4-502","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 23A-4-502","heading":"Violations by a wildlife license agent -- Criminal penalty.","body":"(1) A person is guilty of an unlawful act if the actor:\n(a) fails to take an action required by Section 23A-4-501; or\n(b) takes an action prohibited by Section 23A-4-501.\n(2)\n(a) Except as provided in Subsections (2)(b) and (c), a violation of Subsection (1) is a class B misdemeanor.\n(b) A violation of Subsection (1) is a class A misdemeanor if the aggregate amount required under Subsection 23A-4-501(5)(a):\n(i) is at least $1,000, but less than $10,000;\n(ii) is not submitted for one or more months; and\n(iii) remains uncollectable.\n(c) A violation of Subsection (1) is a felony of the third degree if the aggregate amount required under Subsection 23A-4-501(5)(a):\n(i) is $10,000 or more;\n(ii) is not submitted for one or more months; and\n(iii) remains uncollectable.\n(3) A violation of Subsection (1) may be cause for revocation of the wildlife license agent authorization.","path":["Title 23A Wildlife Resources Act","Chapter 23A-4 Licenses, Permits, Certificates of Registration, and Tags","Part 23A-4-5 License Agents"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title23A/Chapter4/23A-4-S502.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"b10ae8890c134c30a150bd330caf5136430dec845ec3d798340564a28848171f","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-23a-4-501","next":"us-ut/utah-code-23a-4-503"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
