{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-2-124.3","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 26B-2-124.3","heading":"Whistleblower protections.","body":"(1) A congregate care program may not take any adverse action against a child or any other individual for:\n(a) communicating with the ombudsman;\n(b) cooperating with the ombudsman; or\n(c) facilitating the ombudsman in performing the ombudsman's duties under Section 26B-2-124.2.\n(2) An adverse action under Subsection (1) includes:\n(a) a termination;\n(b) a demotion;\n(c) a suspension;\n(d) a reduction in hours;\n(e) harassment;\n(f) intimidation;\n(g) creating a hostile work environment;\n(h) threatening to report an employee to licensing agencies or law enforcement without cause;\n(i) a reduction in pay, benefits, or access to opportunities; or\n(j) any other action that would deter a reasonable employee from performing any action described in Subsection (1).","path":["Title 26B Utah Health and Human Services Code","Chapter 26B-2 Licensing and Certifications","Part 26B-2-1 Human Services Programs and Facilities"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title26B/Chapter2/26B-2-S124.3.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"e2931ff341e3eb6ac393752a3ce5960bdf256775d7547d8580b1856a9a551038","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-2-124.2","next":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-2-125"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
