{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-2-309","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 26B-2-309","heading":"Assisted living facility transfers.","body":"(1) After the ombudsman receives a notice described in Subsection 26B-2-237(3)(b), the ombudsman shall:\n(a) review the notice; and\n(b) contact the resident or the resident's responsible person to conduct a voluntary interview.\n(2) The voluntary interview described in Subsection (1)(b) shall:\n(a) provide the resident with information about the services available through the ombudsman;\n(b) confirm the details in the notice described in Subsection 26B-2-237(3)(b), including:\n(i) the name of the resident;\n(ii) the reason for the transfer or discharge;\n(iii) the date of the transfer or discharge; and\n(iv) a description of the resident's next living arrangement; and\n(c) provide the resident an opportunity to discuss any concerns or complaints the resident may have regarding:\n(i) the resident's treatment at the assisted living facility; and\n(ii) whether the assisted living facility treated the resident fairly when the assisted living facility transferred or discharged the resident.","path":["Title 26B Utah Health and Human Services Code","Chapter 26B-2 Licensing and Certifications","Part 26B-2-3 Long Term Care Ombudsman"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title26B/Chapter2/26B-2-S309.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"6e624c39318ae55bb029cef536bc3b2047ebc01c3f74c4b308e6abf7095f6a9a","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-2-308","next":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-2-401"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
