{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-3-212","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 26B-3-212","heading":"Limited family planning services for low-income individuals.","body":"(1) As used in this section:\n(a)\n(i) \"Family planning services\" means family planning services that are provided under the state Medicaid program, including:\n(A) sexual health education and family planning counseling; and\n(B) other medical diagnosis, treatment, or preventative care routinely provided as part of a family planning service visit.\n(ii) \"Family planning services\" do not include an abortion, as that term is defined in Section 76-7-301 or 76-7a-101.\n(b) \"Low-income individual\" means an individual who:\n(i) has an income level that is equal to or below 185% of the federal poverty level; and\n(ii) does not qualify for full coverage under the Medicaid program.\n(2) Before January 1, 2024, the division shall apply for a Medicaid waiver or a state plan amendment with CMS to:\n(a) offer a program that provides family planning services to low-income individuals; and\n(b) receive a federal match rate of 90% of state expenditures for family planning services provided under the waiver or state plan amendment.","path":["Title 26B Utah Health and Human Services Code","Chapter 26B-3 Health Care - Administration and Assistance","Part 26B-3-2 Medicaid Waivers"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title26B/Chapter3/26B-3-S212.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"7a22c5f5e7af1f2470e7a11792ea0711e812ac507339af28e2a481042890627d","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-3-211","next":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-3-213"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
