{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-3-224","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 26B-3-224","heading":"Medicaid waiver for increased integrated health care reimbursement.","body":"(1) As used in this section:\n(a) \"Integrated health care setting\" means a health care or behavioral health care setting that provides integrated physical and behavioral health care services.\n(b) \"Local mental health authority\" means a local mental health authority described in Section 17-77-301.\n(2) The department shall develop a proposal to allow the state Medicaid program to reimburse a local mental health authority for covered physical health care services provided in an integrated health care setting to Medicaid eligible individuals.\n(3) The department shall apply for a Medicaid waiver or a state plan amendment with CMS to implement the proposal described in Subsection (2).\n(4) If the waiver or state plan amendment described in Subsection (3) is approved, the department shall:\n(a) implement the proposal described in Subsection (2); and\n(b) while the waiver or state plan amendment is in effect, submit a report to the Health and Human Services Interim Committee each year before November 30 detailing:\n(i) the number of patients served under the waiver or state plan amendment;\n(ii) the cost of the waiver or state plan amendment; and\n(iii) any benefits of the waiver or state plan amendment.","path":["Title 26B Utah Health and Human Services Code","Chapter 26B-3 Health Care - Administration and Assistance","Part 26B-3-2 Medicaid Waivers"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title26B/Chapter3/26B-3-S224.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"d29ffa1fb45a9f73b80cdddbf420100910cd363eff2a6239fbe8909292829c16","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-3-223","next":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-3-225"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
