{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-3-510","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 26B-3-510","heading":"Hospital reimbursement.","body":"(1) If the health coverage improvement program, the enhancement waiver program, or the Medicaid waiver expansion is implemented by contracting with a Medicaid accountable care organization, the department shall, to the extent allowed by law, include, in a contract to provide benefits under the health coverage improvement program, the enhancement waiver program, or the Medicaid waiver expansion, a requirement that the Medicaid accountable care organization reimburse hospitals in the accountable care organization's provider network at no less than the Medicaid fee-for-service rate.\n(2) If the health coverage improvement program, the enhancement waiver program, or the Medicaid waiver expansion is implemented by the department as a fee-for-service program, the department shall reimburse hospitals at no less than the Medicaid fee-for-service rate.\n(3) Nothing in this section prohibits a Medicaid accountable care organization from paying a rate that exceeds the Medicaid fee-for-service rate.","path":["Title 26B Utah Health and Human Services Code","Chapter 26B-3 Health Care - Administration and Assistance","Part 26B-3-5 Inpatient Hospital Assessment"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title26B/Chapter3/26B-3-S510.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"945d4aadce129b9b5f3fa47f79e29c1cc51b52cfb5f7acd88ae1f78168e4d239","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-3-509","next":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-3-511"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
