{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-4-514","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 26B-4-514","heading":"Opiate abuse prevention pamphlet.","body":"(1) As funding is available, the department shall produce and distribute, in conjunction with the Office of Substance Use and Mental Health, a pamphlet about opiates that includes information regarding:\n(a) the risk of dependency and addiction;\n(b) methods for proper storage and disposal;\n(c) alternative options for pain management;\n(d) the benefits of and ways to obtain naloxone; and\n(e) resources if the patient believes that the patient has a substance use disorder.\n(2) The pamphlet described in Subsection (1) shall be:\n(a) evaluated periodically for effectiveness at conveying necessary information and revised accordingly;\n(b) written in simple and understandable language; and\n(c) available in English and other languages that the department determines to be appropriate and necessary.","path":["Title 26B Utah Health and Human Services Code","Chapter 26B-4 Health Care - Delivery and Access","Part 26B-4-5 Treatment Access"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title26B/Chapter4/26B-4-S514.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"c0bc94bd41477878aa60339777e183c505c8d00a7d4b0a9980975010a6231463","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-4-513","next":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-4-515"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
