{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-5-507","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 26B-5-507","heading":"Periodic review -- Discharge.","body":"A local substance abuse authority or an approved treatment facility or program that provides essential treatment shall:\n(1) at least every 90 days after the day on which a patient is admitted, unless a court orders otherwise, examine or cause to be examined a patient who has been ordered to receive essential treatment;\n(2) notify the patient and the patient's personal representative or guardian, if any, of the substance and results of the examination;\n(3) discharge an essential treatment patient if the examination determines that the conditions justifying essential treatment and intervention no longer exist; and\n(4) after discharging an essential treatment patient, send a report describing the reasons for discharge to the clerk of the court where the proceeding for essential treatment was held and to the patient's personal representative or guardian, if any.","path":["Title 26B Utah Health and Human Services Code","Chapter 26B-5 Health Care - Substance Use and Mental Health","Part 26B-5-5 Essential Treatment and Intervention"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title26B/Chapter5/26B-5-S507.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"417094318596a09c78640e033001437fa9b63537a8e92f04e5a1d6cd8dccaf4b","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-5-506","next":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-5-508"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
