{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-5-603","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 26B-5-603","heading":"Utah 211 created -- Responsibilities.","body":"(1) The designated 211 service provider described in Section 26B-5-601 shall be known as Utah 211.\n(2) Utah 211 shall, as appropriations allow:\n(a) by 2014:\n(i) provide the services described in this Subsection (2) 24 hours a day, seven days a week;\n(ii) abide by the key standards for 211 programs, as specified in the Standards for Professional Information and Referral Requirements for Alliance of Information Systems Accreditation and Operating 211 systems; and\n(iii) be a point of entry for disaster-related information and referral;\n(b) track types of calls received and referrals made;\n(c) develop, coordinate, and implement a statewide information and referral system that integrates existing community-based structures with state and local agencies;\n(d) provide information relating to:\n(i) health and human services; and\n(ii) volunteer opportunities;\n(e) create an online, searchable database to provide information to the public about the health and human services provided by public or private entities throughout the state, and ensure that:\n(i) the material on the searchable database is indexed:\n(A) geographically to inform an individual about the health and human services provided in the area where the individual lives; and\n(B) by type of service provided; and\n(ii) the searchable database contains links to the Internet sites of any local provider of health and human services, if possible, and include:\n(A) the name, address, and phone number of organizations providing health and human services in a county; and\n(B) a description of the type of services provided;\n(f) be responsible, in collaboration with state agencies, for raising community awareness about available health and human services; and\n(g) host meetings on a quarterly basis until calendar year 2014, and on a biannual basis beginning in 2014, to seek input and guidance from state agencies, local governments, community-based organizations, not-for-profit organizations, and faith-based organizations.","path":["Title 26B Utah Health and Human Services Code","Chapter 26B-5 Health Care - Substance Use and Mental Health","Part 26B-5-6 Mental Health Intervention and Treatment Programs"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title26B/Chapter5/26B-5-S603.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"e07cd7ede9b2093aec9279b12509dbabad8f1635a39a6b12333f00b1a7691d48","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-5-602","next":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-5-604"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
