{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-6-210","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 26B-6-210","heading":"Statewide database -- Restricted use and access.","body":"(1) The division shall maintain a database for reports of vulnerable adult abuse, neglect, or exploitation made pursuant to this part.\n(2) The database shall include:\n(a) the names and identifying data of the alleged abused, neglected, or exploited vulnerable adult and the alleged perpetrator;\n(b) information regarding whether or not the allegation of abuse, neglect, or exploitation was found to be:\n(i) supported;\n(ii) inconclusive;\n(iii) without merit; or\n(iv) for reports for which the finding is made before May 5, 2008:\n(A) substantiated; or\n(B) unsubstantiated; and\n(c) any other information that may be helpful in furthering the purposes of this part, as determined by the division.\n(3) Information obtained from the database may be used only:\n(a) for statistical summaries compiled by the department that do not include names or other identifying data;\n(b) where identification of an individual as a perpetrator may be relevant in a determination regarding whether to grant or deny a license, privilege, or approval made by:\n(i) the department;\n(ii) the Division of Professional Licensing;\n(iii) the Division of Licensing and Background Checks within the department;\n(iv) the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services, within the Department of Public Safety;\n(v) any government agency specifically authorized by statute to access or use the information in the database; or\n(vi) an agency of another state that performs a similar function to an agency described in Subsections (3)(b)(i) through (iv); or\n(c) as otherwise specifically provided by law.","path":["Title 26B Utah Health and Human Services Code","Chapter 26B-6 Long Term Services and Supports, Aging, and Disabilities","Part 26B-6-2 Abuse, Neglect, or Exploitation of a Vulnerable Adult"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title26B/Chapter6/26B-6-S210.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"750125aceee41a1d40cd98903e8fb8400ea31c92a23c0fb8e5fc52f1c11d1971","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-6-209","next":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-6-211"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
