{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-7-124","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 26B-7-124","heading":"Rules for public cold baths.","body":"(1) As used in this section, \"public cold bath\" means a tub or tank that:\n(a) is used by:\n(i) the general public, regardless of whether there is a charge or payment for use; and\n(ii) one bather at a time;\n(b) contains chilled water that is:\n(i) maintained at a temperature lower than 60 degrees Fahrenheit;\n(ii) no more than 180 gallons in volume; and\n(iii) at a depth that allows the bather to maintain the bather's head above the water while in a seated position; and\n(c) continuously filters and sanitizes the chilled water.\n(2) The department may not adopt a rule that restricts, limits, or imposes requirements on the operation of a public cold bath.","path":["Title 26B Utah Health and Human Services Code","Chapter 26B-7 Public Health and Prevention","Part 26B-7-1 Health Promotion and Risk Reduction"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title26B/Chapter7/26B-7-S124.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"6812a617f7fa52552663bbd79afbde95e1089b2e24748feb0ef8eeed780a58f4","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-7-123","next":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-7-125"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
