{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-7-206","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 26B-7-206","heading":"Duty to report individual suspected of having communicable disease.","body":"The following shall report to the department or the local health department regarding any individual suffering from or suspected of having a disease that is communicable, as required by department rule:\n(1) health care providers as defined in Section 78B-3-403;\n(2) facilities licensed under Chapter 2, Part 2, Health Care Facility Licensing and Inspection;\n(3) health care facilities operated by the federal government;\n(4) mental health facilities;\n(5) care facilities licensed by the department;\n(6) nursing homes and other care facilities;\n(7) dispensaries, clinics, or laboratories that diagnose, test, or otherwise care for individuals who are suffering from a disease suspected of being communicable;\n(8) individuals who have knowledge of others who have a communicable disease;\n(9) individuals in charge of schools having responsibility for any individuals who have a disease suspected of being communicable; and\n(10) child care programs, as defined in Section 26B-2-401.","path":["Title 26B Utah Health and Human Services Code","Chapter 26B-7 Public Health and Prevention","Part 26B-7-2 Detection and Management of Chronic and Communicable Diseases andPublic Health Emergencies"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title26B/Chapter7/26B-7-S206.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"799ec67f1c083e52a186744cd7160798084bcd4d085bde3ba290530842b88473","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-7-205","next":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-7-207"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
