{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-7-513","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 26B-7-513","heading":"Permit requirements for the sale of tobacco products and electronic cigarette products.","body":"(1) A tobacco retailer shall:\n(a) provide the customer with an itemized receipt for each sale of a tobacco product or an electronic cigarette product that separately identifies:\n(i) the name of the tobacco product or the electronic cigarette product;\n(ii) the amount charged for each tobacco product or electronic cigarette product; and\n(iii) the time and date of the sale; and\n(b) maintain an itemized transaction log for each sale of a tobacco product or an electronic cigarette product that separately identifies:\n(i) the name of the tobacco product or the electronic cigarette product;\n(ii) the amount charged for each tobacco product or electronic cigarette product; and\n(iii) the date and time of the sale.\n(2) The itemized transaction log described in Subsection (1)(b) shall be:\n(a) maintained for at least one year after the date of each transaction in the itemized transaction log; and\n(b) made available to an enforcing agency or a peace officer at the request of the enforcing agency or the peace officer that is no less restrictive than the provisions in this part.","path":["Title 26B Utah Health and Human Services Code","Chapter 26B-7 Public Health and Prevention","Part 26B-7-5 Regulation of Smoking, Tobacco Products, and Nicotine Products"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title26B/Chapter7/26B-7-S513.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"900671a72a75b914ae25def21929cb661a35c7bb9cdcd5ecfc26167ee8f86f80","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-7-512","next":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-7-514"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
