{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-9-501","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 26B-9-501","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this part:\n(1) \"Business day\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 26B-9-301.\n(2) \"Child support\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 26B-9-101.\n(3) \"Delinquent on a child support obligation\" means that a person:\n(a)\n(i) made no payment for 60 days on a current child support obligation as set forth in an administrative or court order;\n(ii) after the 60-day period described in Subsection (3)(a)(i), failed to make a good faith effort under the circumstances to make payment on the child support obligation in accordance with the order; and\n(iii) has not obtained a judicial order staying enforcement of the person's child support obligation, or the amount in arrears; or\n(b)\n(i) made no payment for 60 days on an arrearage obligation of child support as set forth in:\n(A) a payment schedule;\n(B) a written agreement with the office; or\n(C) an administrative or judicial order;\n(ii) after the 60-day period described in Subsection (3)(b)(i), failed to make a good faith effort under the circumstances to make payment on the child support obligation in accordance with the payment schedule, agreement, or order; and\n(iii) has not obtained a judicial order staying enforcement of the person's child support obligation, or the amount in arrears.\n(4) \"Driver license\" means a license, as defined in Section 53-3-102.\n(5) \"Driver License Division\" means the Driver License Division of the Department of Public Safety created in Section 53-3-103.\n(6) \"Office\" means the Office of Recovery Services.","path":["Title 26B Utah Health and Human Services Code","Chapter 26B-9 Recovery Services and Administration of Child Support","Part 26B-9-5 Administrative License Suspension for Child Support Enforcement"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title26B/Chapter9/26B-9-S501.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"3cac3823acfe5878b8f13bd1047ea0b0a1a6a8ab395a60c6bb08a82b42d36074","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-9-412","next":"us-ut/utah-code-26b-9-502"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
