{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-14-211","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 31A-14-211","heading":"Restrictions on foreign title insurers.","body":"(1) An authorized foreign title insurer may only insure property in this state:\n(a) through an agency title insurance producer who is a resident in Utah; or\n(b) if the authorized foreign title insurer has a bona fide office in Utah:\n(i) that is under the direction and control of the authorized foreign title insurer;\n(ii) for which the authorized foreign title insurer pays the expenses, including compensation of the employees of the bona fide office;\n(iii) at which a person may request information about title services related to a real estate transaction for which the person is a party;\n(iv) at which a person may deliver written communications to the authorized foreign title insurer as required by the real estate transaction for which the person is a party; and\n(v) at which a person may deliver escrow money related to a real estate transaction for which the person is a party.\n(2) This section does not apply to reinsurance.","path":["Title 31A Insurance Code","Chapter 31A-14 Foreign Insurers","Part 31A-14-2 Authorization of Foreign Insurers"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title31A/Chapter14/31A-14-S211.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"99cb0efe71324743e9c953e5626fbaefc2d992eb57f0832540685ec3381c9c36","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-14-210","next":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-14-212"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
