{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-22-1806","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 31A-22-1806","heading":"Penalties.","body":"Notwithstanding Section 31A-2-308, if a vendor or the vendor's employee or authorized representative violate this part, the commissioner may do any of the following in accordance with Title 63G, Chapter 4, Administrative Procedures Act:\n(1) impose a fine not to exceed:\n(a)\n(i) $2,500 per violation by a licensed individual; or\n(ii) $5,000 per violation by an entity; or\n(b) $40,000 in the aggregate for the conduct; or\n(2) impose other penalties that the commissioner considers necessary and reasonable to carry out the purpose of this part, including:\n(a) suspending or revoking the privilege of transacting portable electronics insurance pursuant to this part at a specific location where violations have occurred; and\n(b) suspending or revoking the ability of individual employees or authorized representatives to act under the vendor's limited lines license.","path":["Title 31A Insurance Code","Chapter 31A-22 Contracts in Specific Lines","Part 31A-22-18 Portable Electronics Insurance Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title31A/Chapter22/31A-22-S1806.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"b2387456bce3b213b6217d8339a7556dec1313a56fcd653033ba4776cd933250","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-22-1805","next":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-22-1807"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
