{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-22-662","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 31A-22-662","heading":"Pharmacist as a health care provider.","body":"(1) As used in this section, \"pharmacist\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 58-17b-102.\n(2) An insurer that provides a health benefit plan shall consider a pharmacist as a health care provider for a consultation that is provided to an enrollee regarding the pharmacist:\n(a) prescribing a nebulizer, a spacer for use with a nebulizer or inhaler, or a diabetic supply as described in Subsection 58-17b-610.8(3); or\n(b) prescribing a prescription drug or device as described in Section 58-17b-627.\n(3) Subsection (2) only applies if the health benefit plan covers the prescription drug or device.\n(4) This section applies to a health benefit plan renewed or entered into on or after January 1, 2026.","path":["Title 31A Insurance Code","Chapter 31A-22 Contracts in Specific Lines","Part 31A-22-6 Accident and Health Insurance"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title31A/Chapter22/31A-22-S662.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"8e326f371bfc985d5f283ecc12a85dd521181fcee525403c51b9841a5569eb74","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-22-661","next":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-22-663"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
