{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-23a-117","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 31A-23a-117","heading":"Special requirements for life settlement providers and producers.","body":"(1) A life settlement provider or life settlement producer shall be licensed in accordance with this title, with the additional requirements listed in this section.\n(2) A life settlement provider shall provide to the commissioner:\n(a) a detailed plan of operation with the life settlement provider's:\n(i) initial license application; and\n(ii) renewal application;\n(b) a copy of the life settlement provider's most current audited financial statement;\n(c) an antifraud plan that meets the requirements of Section 31A-36-117; and\n(d) a bond or other form of assurance of financial responsibility as provided under rules made in accordance with Section 31A-36-119.\n(3) A life settlement provider shall provide with the life settlement provider's initial license application information describing the life settlement provider's life settlement experience, training, and education.\n(4) A life settlement provider shall provide to the commissioner, within 30 days after a change occurs, new or revised information concerning any of the following:\n(a) officers;\n(b) holders of more than 10% of its stock;\n(c) partners;\n(d) directors;\n(e) members; and\n(f) designated employees.","path":["Title 31A Insurance Code","Chapter 31A-23a Insurance Marketing - Licensing Producers, Consultants, and Reinsurance Intermediaries","Part 31A-23a-1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title31A/Chapter23a/31A-23a-S117.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"c772c0646c9b4ee939fb2618cd084cad277c424789742122a5c9984661499d01","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-23a-116","next":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-23a-118"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
