{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-26-205","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 31A-26-205","heading":"Character requirements.","body":"Each applicant for a license under this chapter shall show to the commissioner that:\n(1) the applicant has the good faith intent to engage in the type of business the license or licenses applied for would permit;\n(2)\n(a) if a natural person, the applicant is:\n(i) competent; and\n(ii) trustworthy; or\n(b) if an organization, all the partners, directors, principal officers, or persons in fact having comparable powers are trustworthy, and that the applicant will transact business in such a way that all acts that may only be performed by a licensed adjuster are performed exclusively by natural persons who are licensed under this chapter to transact that business and listed on the organization's license under Section 31A-26-209; and\n(3) if a natural person, the applicant is at least 18 years of age.","path":["Title 31A Insurance Code","Chapter 31A-26 Insurance Adjusters","Part 31A-26-2 Licensing and Registration of Insurance Adjusters"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title31A/Chapter26/31A-26-S205.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"82aa14896380ab532d5c570ea064498ff211bc6ad4440fc0cb5692be9527626c","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-26-204","next":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-26-206"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
