{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-26-214.5","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 31A-26-214.5","heading":"License lapse and voluntary surrender.","body":"(1)\n(a) A license issued under this chapter shall lapse if the licensee fails to:\n(i) pay when due a fee under Section 31A-3-103;\n(ii) complete continuing education requirements under Section 31A-26-206 before submitting the license renewal application;\n(iii) submit a completed renewal application as required by Section 31A-26-202;\n(iv) submit additional documentation required to complete the licensing process as related to a specific license type or license classification; or\n(v) maintain an active license in the licensee's home state if the licensee is a nonresident licensee.\n(b)\n(i) A licensee whose license lapses due to the following may request an action described in Subsection (1)(b)(ii):\n(A) military service;\n(B) voluntary service for a period of time designated by the person for whom the licensee provides voluntary service; or\n(C) some other extenuating circumstances, such as long-term medical disability.\n(ii) A licensee described in Subsection (1)(b)(i) may request:\n(A) reinstatement of the license no later than one year after the day on which the license lapses; and\n(B) waiver of any of the following imposed for failure to comply with renewal procedures:\n(I) an examination requirement;\n(II) reinstatement fees set under Section 31A-3-103;\n(III) continuing education requirements; or\n(IV) other sanction imposed for failure to comply with renewal procedures.\n(2) If a license issued under this chapter is voluntarily surrendered, the license may be reinstated:\n(a) during the license period in which it is voluntarily surrendered; and\n(b) no later than one year after the day on which the license is voluntarily surrendered.","path":["Title 31A Insurance Code","Chapter 31A-26 Insurance Adjusters","Part 31A-26-2 Licensing and Registration of Insurance Adjusters"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title31A/Chapter26/31A-26-S214.5.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"5a1ec31b12e3c839648226b2787640d41d118e0e03dd7929f5f65e89f1211156","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-26-214","next":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-26-215"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
