{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-37a-103","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 31A-37a-103","heading":"Applicable law.","body":"(1)\n(a) A special purpose financial captive insurance company is subject to:\n(i) this chapter; and\n(ii) Chapter 37, Captive Insurance Companies Act.\n(b) If there is a conflict between this chapter and Chapter 37, Captive Insurance Companies Act, this chapter controls.\n(2) A special purpose financial captive insurance company is subject to a rule made under Section 31A-37-106 that is in effect on or after May 5, 2008.\n(3) The commissioner may, by order, exempt a special purpose financial captive insurance company from a provision of Chapter 37, Captive Insurance Companies Act, or a rule made under Section 31A-37-106 if the commissioner determines that the application of the provision or rule is inappropriate on the basis of the special purpose financial captive insurance company's plan of operation.","path":["Title 31A Insurance Code","Chapter 31A-37a Special Purpose Financial Captive Insurance Company Act","Part 31A-37a-1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title31A/Chapter37a/31A-37a-S103.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"ba8bb9122c26ee865233a181a07bb8be8e0fd98db370c66f03e3694a0681bf6b","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-37a-102","next":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-37a-104"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
