{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-43-302","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 31A-43-302","heading":"Stop-loss restrictions -- Filing requirements.","body":"(1) A stop-loss insurer shall file the stop-loss insurance contract form and rate methodology with the commissioner pursuant to Sections 31A-2-201 and 31A-2-201.1 before the stop-loss insurance contract may be issued or delivered in the state.\n(2) A stop-loss insurer shall file with the commissioner, annually on or before April 1, in a form and manner required by the commissioner by administrative rule adopted by the commissioner:\n(a) an actuarial memorandum and certification which demonstrates that the insurer is in compliance with this chapter; and\n(b) the stop-loss insurer's stop-loss experience.\n(3) An insurer shall maintain at its principal place of business:\n(a) a complete and detailed description of its rating practices and renewal underwriting practices, including information and documentation that demonstrate the rating methods and practices are:\n(i) based upon commonly accepted actuarial assumptions; and\n(ii) in accordance with sound actuarial principles; and\n(b) a copy of the annual filing required by Subsection (2).","path":["Title 31A Insurance Code","Chapter 31A-43 Small Employer Stop-Loss Insurance Act","Part 31A-43-3 Stop-Loss Insurance"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title31A/Chapter43/31A-43-S302.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"e3d63348d9871f41c0fe1aec9c02ef5c3bca503c9d5501fde37e0ef557da7bd2","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-43-301","next":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-43-303"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
