{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-8-102","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 31A-8-102","heading":"Scope and purposes.","body":"(1) No person may operate an organization in this state without complying with and obtaining a certificate of authority under this chapter.\n(2) The purposes of this chapter include to:\n(a) provide for the establishment of health maintenance organizations which provide readily available, accessible, and quality comprehensive health care to their enrollees;\n(b) provide for the establishment of limited health plans which provide readily available, accessible, and quality care to their enrollees;\n(c) encourage the development of organizations as an alternative method of health care delivery; and\n(d) assure that organizations within this state are financially and administratively sound and that these organizations are in fact able to deliver the benefits as promised.","path":["Title 31A Insurance Code","Chapter 31A-8 Health Maintenance Organizations and Limited Health Plans","Part 31A-8-1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title31A/Chapter8/31A-8-S102.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"7b889b0c31b29cc0c0d7312d993d82706f7122065cb465913ac2e5cd1c80fdd8","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-8-101","next":"us-ut/utah-code-31a-8-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
