{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-32b-16-102","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 32B-16-102","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this chapter:\n(1) \"Applicable fine\" means the sum of the following imposed or assessed under this title by the commission for a violation related to a minor:\n(a) a fine; and\n(b) administrative costs of a disciplinary proceeding.\n(2) \"Violation related to a minor\" means a violation under this title:\n(a) that is, in whole or in part, based on a retail licensee, or staff of the retail licensee:\n(i) selling, offering for sale, or furnishing an alcoholic product to a minor;\n(ii) purchasing or otherwise obtaining an alcoholic product for a minor;\n(iii) permitting a minor to consume an alcoholic product;\n(iv) permitting a minor to gain admittance to an area into which a minor is not permitted under this title; or\n(v) offering or providing employment to a minor that under this title may not be obtained by a minor; and\n(b) if as part of the violation the minor uses proof of age in violation of Chapter 1, Part 4, Proof of Age Act.","path":["Title 32B Alcoholic Beverage Control Act","Chapter 32B-16 Minor Liability Act","Part 32B-16-1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title32B/Chapter16/32B-16-S102.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"0a2064949c6309eb243a054f5ef2d34a19411af53f321edcd29555238f386431","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-32b-16-101","next":"us-ut/utah-code-32b-16-201"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
