{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-32b-4-406","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 32B-4-406","heading":"Unlawful sale, offer for sale, or furnishing of an alcoholic product.","body":"(1) Except as provided in Subsection (2):\n(a) a person may not sell, offer for sale, or furnish beer to the general public in a container that exceeds two liters; and\n(b) a person may not purchase or possess beer in a container that exceeds two liters.\n(2)\n(a) A retail licensee may sell, offer for sale, or furnish beer on draft subject to the requirements of Section 32B-5-304.\n(b) A retail licensee may purchase or possess beer in a container that exceeds two liters to be dispensed on draft for consumption subject to the requirements of Section 32B-5-304.\n(c) A beer wholesaler licensee may sell, offer for sale, or furnish beer in a container that exceeds two liters to a retail licensee described in Subsection (2)(a).\n(3) On or after October 1, 2011:\n(a) A person may not sell, offer for sale, or furnish heavy beer in a container that exceeds two liters.\n(b) A person may not purchase or possess heavy beer in a container that exceeds two liters.","path":["Title 32B Alcoholic Beverage Control Act","Chapter 32B-4 Criminal Offenses and Procedure Act","Part 32B-4-4 Sale, Purchase, Possession, and Consumption"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title32B/Chapter4/32B-4-S406.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"4b3bafb13ef6f5bb2bfb1fc014ef5a6dc84bdf29db099bd590a98a1ea844dd39","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-32b-4-405","next":"us-ut/utah-code-32b-4-407"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
