{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-32b-4-424","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 32B-4-424","heading":"Powdered or vaporized alcohol.","body":"(1) As used in this section:\n(a) \"Powdered alcohol\" means a product that is in a powdered or crystalline form and contains any amount of alcohol.\n(b) \"Vaporized alcohol\" means a product created by mixing alcohol with pure oxygen or another gas to produce a vaporized product for the purpose of consumption through inhalation.\n(2) It is unlawful for a person to use, offer for use, purchase, offer to purchase, sell, offer to sell, furnish, or possess for human consumption powdered alcohol or vaporized alcohol.\n(3) It is unlawful for a holder of a retail license to use powdered alcohol or vaporized alcohol as an alcoholic product.\n(4) This section does not apply to the use of powdered alcohol or vaporized alcohol for a commercial use specifically approved by state law or bona fide research purposes by a:\n(a) health care practitioner that operates primarily for the purpose of conducting scientific research;\n(b) department, commission, board, council, agency, institution, division, office, committee, authority, laboratory, library, unit, bureau, panel, or other administrative unit of the state, including an institution of higher education listed in Section 53H-1-102;\n(c) private college or university research facility; or\n(d) pharmaceutical or biotechnology company.","path":["Title 32B Alcoholic Beverage Control Act","Chapter 32B-4 Criminal Offenses and Procedure Act","Part 32B-4-4 Sale, Purchase, Possession, and Consumption"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title32B/Chapter4/32B-4-S424.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"d48ac3b08ba7b960a1b0b8021d2a58ca8a559bd7b514d98a59a4f430f6bdcc45","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-32b-4-423","next":"us-ut/utah-code-32b-4-501"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
