{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-32b-6-702","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 32B-6-702","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this part:\n(1) \"Commission-approved activity\" means a leisure activity that:\n(a) the commission approves by rule made in accordance with Title 63G, Chapter 3, Utah Administrative Rulemaking Act; and\n(b) does not involve the use of a dangerous weapon.\n(2)\n(a) \"Recreational amenity\" means:\n(i) a billiard parlor;\n(ii) a pool parlor;\n(iii) a bowling facility;\n(iv) a golf course;\n(v) miniature golf;\n(vi) a golf driving range;\n(vii) a tennis club;\n(viii) a sports facility that hosts professional sporting events and has a seating capacity equal to or greater than 2,500;\n(ix) a concert venue that has a seating capacity equal to or greater than 2,500;\n(x) one of the following if owned by a government agency:\n(A) a convention center;\n(B) a fair facility;\n(C) an equestrian park;\n(D) a theater; or\n(E) a concert venue;\n(xi) an amusement park:\n(A) with one or more permanent amusement rides; and\n(B) located on at least 50 acres;\n(xii) a ski resort;\n(xiii) a venue for live entertainment if the venue:\n(A) is not regularly open for more than five hours on any day;\n(B) is operated so that food is available whenever beer is sold, offered for sale, or furnished at the venue; and\n(C) is operated so that no more than 15% of its total annual receipts are from the sale of beer;\n(xiv) concessions operated within the boundary of a park administered by the:\n(A) Division of State Parks; or\n(B) National Parks Service;\n(xv) a facility or venue that is a recreational amenity for a person licensed under this part before May 12, 2020;\n(xvi) a venue for karaoke; or\n(xvii) an enterprise developed around a commission-approved activity.\n(b) \"Recreational amenity\" does not include an item described in Subsection (2)(a), if the item is tangential to an enterprise or activity that is not included in Subsection (2)(a).","path":["Title 32B Alcoholic Beverage Control Act","Chapter 32B-6 Specific Retail License Act","Part 32B-6-7 On-Premise Beer Retailer License"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title32B/Chapter6/32B-6-S702.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"07e05aafcd9ef5f6492b253249c3aaa8c4623c76ed9327dbfc173a72e7f08ee2","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-32b-6-701","next":"us-ut/utah-code-32b-6-703"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
